Work backwards from a date
Pick the month you want to be clear. Zero Out Plan solves for the payment instead of guessing and hoping.
Zero Out Plan turns “I should pay this off” into a number: the exact amount to send every month to be clear of every credit card and loan by the date you choose — 0% offers, the interest that follows and early-repayment charges included.
Optional free account: save your cards and loans to your own profile, get a monthly progress email with reminders, and unlock the payday planner, monthly budget, timeline, groups and insights.

See the payment to beat the deadline — and exactly what you'd owe each month if the rate jumps afterwards.
Every card and loan adds up to a single monthly figure, so you know what to set aside instead of juggling five due dates.
Credit cards and loans added together — the number to build your budget around.

Car finance, personal loans, buy-now-pay-later. Fixed term, plus any overpayment and the early-repayment charge your lender may add.
Most personal loans carry an early-repayment charge — commonly 1–2% of what you still owe, sometimes more in the first year. Overpaying can also trigger one, and some lenders cap how much you can overpay each year without a penalty. Check your credit agreement; a settlement figure from your lender is the only number that counts.
Every card and loan on one set of graphs. Switch to “separately” to see cards and loans on their own.
Enter what you can realistically put towards your cards each month and see when you'd actually be clear. Loans keep their fixed payments.
Pay every card its minimum, then put spare money into one card at a time. This shows which one clears fastest and what that saves you — compared with paying the minimums everywhere and doing nothing extra.
On top of every minimum payment. Enter what you could genuinely spare.
Minimums go out to everything first. Then this order gets the extra.
Check your agreement for early-repayment charges, and keep paying at least the minimum on every other card so you don’t lose a 0% offer or get a late fee.
A balance transfer can stop the interest dead — if the card limit is big enough and you clear it before the offer ends. This works out what to apply for and what to pay.
Only your credit cards. Loans usually can't be moved onto a card.
The 0% period and the fee the new provider charges to move the money.
The card issuer decides your limit, not this calculator — and it's often lower than the sum you're moving. Some providers charge a higher fee for the transfer itself (£5–£30 flat) on top of the percentage. And if you don't clear the balance by the end of the 0% offer, the standard rate then applies to whatever's left, which some cards backdate to the start of the offer. Read the terms.
Every card and loan on one timeline, your own groups to work out just the debts you choose, and advice on what to clear first and when — worked out on your device from your own numbers.
Each bar runs from today to the month that debt is cleared on your plan. Green stripes are interest-free months; the orange diamond is a 0% deadline.
The calculators above stay free without signing up. We never look at, sell or pass on anything saved to your profile.
Your take-home pay, your bills and your debt plan side by side — so you can see exactly what’s left each month.
No — sign-up is optional. The calculators work without one and is saved in your browser. But browsers can wipe that data — clearing history, private mode, storage clean-ups or switching phone. A free account (email + a password of 10 or more characters) stores your cards and loans securely on our server, so they’re waiting whenever you sign in. You can delete your account and every saved figure at any time from the Account panel.
For a standard card we use the amortisation formula, then simulate each month with interest rounded to the penny and the payment rounded up, so the figure you see is the one that actually clears the balance. For a 0% card we assume you pay the same amount every month from today until your chosen end date — a fixed payment across the whole term, not a jump in the month the rate changes.
Tick “keep paying after the 0% ends” and add the rate that applies afterwards. We split the plan into two phases: the interest-free stretch, then the interest-bearing stretch, and work out one steady payment that covers both. If you clear the balance before the promo ends, the second phase disappears entirely.
Without an account, everything stays in your browser on your own device. With the optional account, your cards and loans are stored securely on our server so they’re there when you sign back in. Either way: we never look at, sell or pass on anything saved to your profile. Insights, graphs and the Excel and PDF exports are all worked out in your browser.
They're a close estimate. Real lenders use their own day-count rules, minimum payments, fees and sometimes backdated interest if a promo is missed. Treat the number as a target and pay a little more for safety.
